Getting started
What is FinishMyDocs?
FinishMyDocs is an online PDF editor combined with a library of form and document templates. You can upload a PDF (or pick a template from our forms library), then edit, fill, and sign it in your browser, and download, print, email, or share the result. No software to install.
What files can I upload?
We support PDF files up to 25 MB. Start at upload a PDF — your file uploads over an encrypted connection and is stored privately in your account.
Do you have ready-made forms and templates?
Yes. Our template library includes common business, personal, and government forms you can fill out directly. Note that FinishMyDocs is a private service: government forms are also available free from their official agency websites. See our disclaimer.
Editing & signing documents
What editing tools are included?
You can add and edit text, fill form fields, check boxes, add dates, insert images, highlight, erase or white-out content, rearrange and rotate pages, and add signatures — all from the online editor.
How do signatures work?
Three ways: draw your signature with a mouse or touchscreen, type it and choose a signature style, or upload an image of your existing signature. Your saved signature can be reused on future documents.
Can other people sign my document?
Yes. You can invite others to e-sign by email. They receive a secure, expiring link, sign in their browser, and you get the completed document back in your dashboard — no account required on their end.
What formats can I download?
You can download your finished document as a PDF, or export pages as PNG or JPEG images. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel export are in development and coming soon — they are not available today.
Billing & the $1 trial
How does the $1 trial work?
Your first completed document costs $1.00, which starts a 7-day trial with full access to everything — unlimited editing, signing, downloads, and storage. Start for $1. After 7 days, your subscription renews at $39.99/month unless cancelled. Cancel anytime. Full details are on our pricing page and in the billing terms.
When am I charged $39.99?
Only after your 7-day trial ends, and only if you have not cancelled. The subscription then renews automatically at $39.99/month until you cancel. Your renewal date is always visible in Dashboard → Billing.
How will the charge appear on my statement?
Charges appear as FINISHMYDOCS.COM and are processed by Stripe. If you see a charge you do not recognize, contact us before disputing it — we resolve billing questions quickly.
Cancelling & refunds
How do I cancel?
Two ways: (1) log in, go to Dashboard → Billing, and click “Cancel subscription” — it is one click, with no retention tricks; or (2) email support@finishmydocs.com from your account email. Step-by-step instructions are on the how to cancel page.
What happens after I cancel?
All future charges stop immediately. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel during the trial, you are never charged the $39.99 monthly fee.
Can I get a refund?
If you are unhappy, email support@finishmydocs.com within 7 days of a charge. Refunds of the most recent subscription charge are granted case by case, and we err on the side of the customer. The $1 trial fee is refundable on request if the service failed to deliver your document. See the refund policy.
Security & privacy
Is my card information safe?
Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS–certified payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. We only receive the card brand and last four digits so you can recognize your payment method.
Who can see my documents?
Only you. Documents are stored privately, transferred over HTTPS, and download or share links are tokenized and expire automatically. More on our security page and in the privacy policy.
Can I delete my documents?
Yes, anytime, from your dashboard. Deleted documents are removed from our storage.
How do I reach a human?
